Steven D. Landis, CFP®

Steve is a graduate of Ohio University (B.S., 1973) and The University of Cincinnati (M.S., 1977). Prior to becoming a financial services professional and an advocate of active asset management, Mr. Landis was a Certified Industrial Hygienist, working in the field of Occupational and Environmental Health with such organizations as: Union Carbide Corporation in Oak Ridge, TN; The U.S. Department of Labor, and Battelle Memorial Institute (Battelle Columbus Labs).

He has been in the practice of financial planning and investment management since 1984. His experience as a financial advisor includes work with a large, national financial planning firm as well as private practice. He has been in private practice in Columbus and Central Ohio since 1988.

In his private practice, Mr. Landis owned and operated a traditional financial planning firm. In 1999, he began to transition his investment management style from the traditional, diversified "buy and hold" to an actively managed approach with particular emphasis on risk control. In 2006, Steve began to provide trading signals to other advisors, a service that has grown steadily since its inception.

In 2013, Mr. Landis sold his retail financial planning practice to focus on working exclusively with financial advisors and institutional investors. His active style of investing involves the use of technical analysis and strategies that are designed to provide both market competitive returns and reduced market risk.

Mr. Landis is a Certified Financial Planner® (CFP), and the Principal Member of Sojourn Financial Strategies, LLC. He is a member of the National Association of Active Investment Managers (NAAIM) and the Market Technicians Association (MTA).
